Why Advanced Science?

The Advanced Science Cluster at Skyline High School prepares students for any career that requires a strenuous academic discipline in the sciences. The program is further embellished with a College-Career readiness program and an active Science club that provides valuable presentations on a variety of related topics, top-notch field trips, science-related service projects, and academic competitions. No school offers more Advanced Placement science courses. Classes unique to our program are two yearlong lab classes that correspond to the AP Biology and AP Chemistry classes, as well as AP Physics, Forensic Science, and an Organic Chemistry class for seniors. Many of our students are also involved in summer opportunities at Baylor Medical Center, ASPCA, UT Southwestern, and other area institutes. Graduates of our program attend universities such as UT-Austin, Texas A&M, MIT, Rice, Stanford, and other outstanding state universities.
