Skyline NAF Board
Dr. John Grabarczyk
Board Co-Chair
Director of Academic Affairs for the University of Phoenix Dallas campus
Joined the board to support career readiness for young women and men. I strongly support education as the foundation for a successful career. I want to provide exposure to many careers to students to help them choose their career. My goal is to support various interactions between employers and students to enhance the students' educational journey.
Ms. Tammy Land
Executive Director, IIAD
I would like to share my insurance knowledge and career advice with any student that has an interest. Our industry is vastly misunderstood, and there are more opportunities in it than there are stars in the sky. It would be great to build a bridge between a high school with our partners in the Risk Management programs at UTD and UNT.
Dr. Tyler Blakeslee
Security Program Manager - Cyber Defense
Creating an environment to inspire, create ideas and execute them will be both a rewarding and exciting challenge. One of my goals will be to assist in developing and enhancing new or existing programs while focusing on quality experience and measuring success (KPIs).
Ms. Tuvao Gunter
Sr. Account Payable Analyst at DoorDash
I believe that all young adults are gifted and wanted to learn from them and in turn, share my experiences with them. I want to help them reach their goals. The whole world out there waiting for them and want them to know that I completely believe in them.
Mr. Sandy Wilson
Board Co-Chair
Reverse Mortgage Manager at Reliance Mortgage Company
To help students to achieve what they want to do in life after High School to get prepared for College. I have enjoyed working with these students for the past 5 years on the Board.
Mr. Darion Walton
Walton Inspires
Aligned with the mission of Dallas ISD, “Educating all students for success”, Walton Inspires joined the advisory board to show next-generation students that anyone can succeed when they apply themselves and rise above negative influences. Through our proven educational model adapted for student achievement, we hope to assist in creating a pipeline of students who are both career and college ready. We understand that empowering students to succeed is critical to their success.
Ms. Becky Barker
Industry Partner Coordinator, Career Institute East Dallas ISD
After being associated with NAF for over 20 years as a teacher and then a coordinator, I truly believe in the principles of NAF and the outstanding opportunities it provides students. Lessons and outside learning activities and projects have real world meaning, taking students to a new level. The connections with companies for internships and long-term employment after high school are tremendous opportunities that not all students receive. I would like to see a larger board with a wide variety of choices for students as we continue to grow.
